At my school we have this event or activity called character kick off. What character kick off is an activity based based day where we talk about character and we play games that teach us teamwork, good sportsmanship and about character. it is always outside. The fist part of character kick off was we had a parade outside, we lined up on the hill and we watched the marching band. The marching band played the national anthem and 2 other songs. They had drums, and a bunch of other instruments. After the marching band marched of after their first 2 songs, the military, the police, the teachers, and some collage students came in front of us. They sat down in sort of small black chairs and it was awesome. Then it started to drizzle. It wan’t that bad though because it was very hot out. Then the marching band came back and played the nation anthem after we did the pledge. then we put these puzzle pieces on the board. the puzzle pieces we put together because their were clues that were hidden and we had to find what they meant. after that we went back inside and we started this escape room challenge. The escape room challenge was were we had a course of clues and tasks to do, once you figured out the task you were on you type it in to the computer and it would tell you if it was right or wrong. My team finished first! but anyways, after that we went outside with a sub gym teacher. The first game we played was this block game. For the game you were split into 4 teams, you had a bucket with a bunch of black and white blocks that are kind of like sand paper sponges. The object of the game is to build the highest tower but there is a plot twist,well sort of, you have to do it while being linked to a partner. The team with the highest tower wins and the team who empties there bin of blocks first wins. The next station we went to was a statin where you have these pipe sort of things and you hold you pipes together and roll a marble down them, once the marble goes threw your pipe that you are holding you take your pipe and go to the end or back of the line. That one was fun but i liked the block game better. The next station was the ski station. the object of the game was to have 4 or 5 people on your team, there were these skis that had a string attached and a handle what you were supposed to do was try to walk with your team to the cone and back without falling off the skis. For this round there was i tie between my team and another team. There was 2 more stations we did. The 5th station was the bean bag throwing station. So this is how it works, a person holds the big cone and the other throws 2 bean bags. well that is the first round the 2nd round you use a very small tisey cone and yeah that was our day!
